
Opera
New York City-based soprano Hannah Madeleine Goodman originally hails from Portland, Oregon and was most recently a Fort Worth Opera Hattie Mae Lesley Resident Artist for the 2024-25 season. She is a member of AGMA. While at Fort Worth Opera, Ms. Goodman sang Adina in The Elixir of Love and Clorinda in La Cenerentola, as well as covering Amy in Little Women. As part of outreach performances, she also sang Mariana in Frida Kahlo and the Bravest Niña in el Mundo. This past season she was also honored to tour to China with Maestro Marin Alsop and the Philadelphia Orchestra, where she sang selections from Echoes of Ancient Tang Poems at the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing.
Trained in Mandarin lyric diction, Ms. Goodman made her Lincoln Center debut in 2023 in Echoes of Ancient Tang Poems with the Philadelphia Orchestra, also touring to what is now Marian Anderson Hall. She made her Portland Opera debut in 2022 as The Woman in the premiere of Beatrice.
Other recent roles include: Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro (Hawaii Performing Arts Festival, also Center for Jewish History); Sophie in Werther (Barn Opera, now Opera Vermont); Papagena and Second Lady in The Magic Flute (Salt Marsh Opera). She has also appeared in Amadeus Live (Los Angeles Opera) and outreach tours for Fort Worth Opera, Los Angeles Opera, Portland Opera, Opera Saratoga, and Salt Marsh Opera. She has also sung with the Bangor Symphony Orchestra and Suzhou Symphony Orchestra and was a semifinalist in the 2023 Camille Coloratura Awards and a quarterfinalist in the 2024 American Traditions Competition.
In addition to her residency at Fort Worth Opera in Texas, Ms. Goodman trained at the iSING! International Young Artists Festival in China and is an alumna of the University of Southern California.
